Santa Barbara Student Housing Cooperative (SBSHC) is a cooperative, not for profit organization providing equitable housing in Isla Vista, California currently seeking applicants for the position of Member Services Coordinator (MSC) during this dynamic period of organizational development.

ABOUT SBSHC

Founded in 1976, the SBSHC is a non-profit educational 501(c)(3) whose mission is to provide lower cost cooperative housing regardless of gender, race, social, political, or religious affiliation, and thereby influencing the elimination of prejudice and discrimination in the community. We strive to engage in continuous educational programs that further the principles of cooperation through mutual, self-help living at a minimal cost.
POSITION OVERVIEW

The MSC works closely with and reports to the Executive Director in the cooperative’s central office. This is a full-time position. Various responsibilities to committees and special membership events necessitate a flexible schedule and some availability outside the normal business day. As the organization is actively expanding, this position and its responsibilities are very dynamic. A successful candidate will be interested in investing in and developing this position as the organization grows.
